Mahana – Digital Therapeutics

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) delivered through a structured series of content, personalized feedback and training, Mahana is able to significantly improve outcomes for people living with gastrointestinal conditions.

Our team of two was tasked with designing and building the front-end that delivered the therapy to patients, tracked their progress, and connected patients and their therapists.

The patient facing app was responsible for delivering the therapy. Patients advance through a series of sessions learning about IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), performing exercises and assessing their symptoms. Throughout the therapy, users are presented with quizzes that quantify the severity of their symptoms over time.

The therapist facing app allowed therapists to monitor and communicate with their assigned patients. Therapists can track therapy progress and assessment scores, assign new assessments, message patients directly, and be notified of patients at risk.

We delivered the MVP in a total of 3 months. Mahana has since grown the team, come out of stealth, and continues to grow and improve the product.
